Risk Assessment
Breast Center of New England calculates a Tyrer-Cuzick risk score for every mammography patient. This is an estimation of your lifetime risk of developing breast cancer. Your risk is based on your personal history, family history, and your breast density (women with dense breast tissue are at a relatively increased risk of developing breast cancer in their lifetimes compared to those with non-dense breasts).
In addition, Breast Center of New England is proud to offer the Myriad MyRisk genetic test. The MyRisk test is quick and non-invasive, and is covered by many insurance plans.
